Random glimpses into the thoughts of a woman- searching for life's answers - or maybe just asking the questions and living them. Trying to live creatively and authentically. Learning to BE - HERE - NOW.
I am part of her mentoring project, Let Your Light Shine which is wonderful.
I have loved every project, every prompt. Roxanne is a warm, gentle soul whose kindness and guidance has helped me to find my own voice in my art. I am so enjoying the process of each piece I've created and the pieces I've created I have loved. Each one is a bit more of my own voice, my own vision.
The quote above is a favorite John O'Donohue quote. I have been listening to him.
"Your soul knows the geography of your destiny. Your soul alone has the map of your future, therefore you can trust this indirect oblique side of yourself. If you do, it will take you where you need to go, but more impotant it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey."
Finding space before the busyness of the new year takes hold.
Feeling a sense of openness - a sense of grounding within.
My friend, Lisa at Life Unity wrote this wonderful post about finding your center.
I know that I have always loved tadasana in Yoga (mountain pose). It has always helped me to center, to feel the earth beneath my feet and the core of my being. This has gradually carried into my day to day life. When I find myself feeling scattered, unsure, upset, if I remember to breathe in and feel that deep feeling of myself in my center I always feel better. I can then become aware of the current moment and not simply react to the stress or whatever is occuring.
It boils down to awareness. To be aware - to breathe - to listen.
Yesterday I was playing in my sketch book - this being appeared - She is not usually what shows up in my sketch book! A bit whimsical actually. But she came and had those words to say.
"You are KIND, compassionate, CREATIVE and CRAZILY beautifully YOU!"
She made me smile, made me feel wonderful.
Then I went off to blogland - and wonderful Natasha from Creative Nachos posted her wonderful painting and I was even more happy. (Go take a looks and see what I mean!)
Her wise words stuck with me all day!
"THAT – that moment right there – should be harnessed and sprinkled upon every beautiful soul. That moment when you love yourself so unconditionally that you can look in the mirror and say, “Yes!” to everything about you!"
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day and listen to that self that tells you that you are CRAZILY BEAUTIFULLY YOU!
